# Adding Notes for a Family

# Adding Notes for a Family

The notes section within the Family Summary screen allows you to:
* Private Notes: Add confidential details such as payment plan arrangements or internal comments.
* Attachment Uploads: Include supporting documents
* Role-Based Visibility: Control who can view each note by assigning visibility to specific user roles only.
|| Note: Any details added into the Notes field are only visible by the Service not the Families

### Adding Notes

Notes can be added via the **Family Summary** screen.
1. Select the green **+add** button within the Notes section

2. Select note visibility eg. **Users/Role**s that can view the note
3. If selecting **User/Roles,** select the **Role(s)** to view the note
4. Add in a Note **Subject**
5. Note **details**
6. Upload **attachments** as required
7. Select **Save**
