# Global Add Button

# Global Add Button

This article will assist you with using the Global Add button within the Xap program.

### Overview

The Xap program has a Global Add button on the top toolbar. This option is available on any screen within the program, to assist you with adding information quickly for your Service.

It allows users to quickly add an action without having to access this information through a step by step process from the main menu on the left side.

The Global Add button allows you to add the below information:

| Note: To assist you with each of the above processes the links have also been included.

In this example we are selecting to  ‘add child". This will give the you the option to add a child to an existing family

1. Select the **Service name** from the drop-down (This will only be required if you have access to more than 1 Service on your Database)
2. Select the **existing Family** name
3. Add in the new **Child's First name**
4. Add in the new **Child's Last name**
5. Add in the new **Child's Date of Birth**
6. Select the **Gender** of the Child
7. Select **who the child resides with**
8. Add in the **Address** information
9. Select if you would like the **Guardian/s to complete the Enrolment form** online
10. Select **Open Full Form** if you would like to add in the rest of the Child's information
11. Select **Save** to save the new Child's information
