# I can’t find a family in the families listing. How can I find it?

# I can’t find a family in the families listing. How can I find it?

If you can't find a family,  there could be couple of reason. Follow the below instructions to search for the family you are looking for. 

**Step 1:** Select all Statuses from the dropdown. By default archived family status is not selected.

**Step 2:** Please seach by guardian or child name instead of family name. Family name might have been changed and you might still be searching using the old family name.
