# Session/Fees - Sliding Scale Fee Fixed Session

This article will assist you with creating a sliding scale Fee.
A Sliding Scale Fee can be created to apply daily or weekly.

###### Daily Sliding Scale Fee

A **Daily** Sliding Scale Fee can be used if a child receives a discount by attending 2 sessions on the same day.

**For example**
If a child only attends After School Care the cost is $24.00.
If a child only attends Before School Care the cost is $20.00.
However, if a child attends Before and After School Care on the same day the cost for each is $18.00.

###### Weekly Sliding Scale Fee

A **Weekly **Sliding Scale Fee can be used if a child receives a discount by attending multiple sessions across the week.

**Scenario 1**
If a child only attends 1-4 days the cost is $110.00 per day.
If a child attends 5 days across the week, the total cost is $500.00 so works out to be $100.00 per day.
|| This will apply to children if they are permanently 5 days per week or pick up a casual 5th day.

**Scenario 2**
If a child only attends 1-3 days the cost is $110.00 per day.
If a child attends 4 days a week, the total cost is $420.00 so works out to be $105.00 per day.
Or if the child attends 5 days across the week, the total cost is $500.00 so works out to be $100.00 per day.

### Creating a new Session/Fee

1. Select **Settings**
2. Select the **Sessions & Fees** icon

3. Select the **Sessions and Fees** Tab

4. Select the **Green +** Add button

### Daily Sliding Fee Type

Within the Add Session & Fees screen.:

1. Select the **Service name**
2. Add in the **Session/Fee name**
3. Add in the **Start** and **End times** of the Session/Fee
4. Select the **Care Type**
5. Select the **Sub Care Type** (only required for OSHC care types)
6. Select the **Days** the Session/Fee will be available on
7. Add in a **description**
8. Select **Charge Frequency** as - Per Session
9. Select **Charge Type** as - By Sliding Scale
10. Select **Sliding Scale Type** as - Daily
11. Add in the **Effective date**
12. **Booking 1 **- Add in the 1 session per day fee eg. $20.00
13. **Booking 2** - Add in the 2 sessions per day fee eg. $18.00
14. Select **Add Session**
|| Note: Two fees of this type will be needed to be created due to the different session's times on a fixed fee. eg. Create a daily sliding scale fee for ASC and a daily sliding scale fee for BSC.

### Weekly Sliding Fee Type

Within the Add Session & Fees screen.:

1. Select the **Service name**
2. Add in the **Session/Fee name**
3. Add in the **Start** and **End times** of the Session/Fee
4. Select the **Care Type**
5. Select the **Sub Care Type** (only required for OSHC care types)
6. Select the **Days** the Session/Fee will be available on
7. Add in a **description**
8. Select **Charge Frequency** as - Per Session
9. Select **Charge Type** as - By Sliding Scale
10. Select **Sliding Scale Type** as - Weekly
11. Add in the **Effective date**
12. **Booking 1-4 **- Add in the session per day fee eg. $20.00
13. **Booking 5** - Add in the reduced per day fee eg. $18.00
14. Select **Add Session**
