Enabling Staff GAP Fee Discounts
This article will assist you with setting up and applying Discounts to Staff Families that is calculated on the GAP instead of the Total Fee.
Overview
From the 24th January 2022, CCSS have made changes to how you can apply Discounts, to assist you with attracting and retaining your Early childhood workforce.
You can choose to offer a discounted fee to educators they employ whose children are enrolled at one of their services. The discount will not affect the employee’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlement.
Who can you offer the Discount to?
You can offer discounts to employees who:
- Are employed, contracted or engaged as an educator or early childhood teacher;
- Are working at a Centre Based Day Care or Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service, and
- Have a child enrolled in early childhood education and care at a service where they work or that you own.
A Centre Director or OSHC coordinator is considered an educator or early childhood teacher and is eligible for a discount if they:
- Have an early childhood education and care qualification, and
- Are working at a service.
How much can I discount?
It’s up to you how much you want to discount. The employee must still pay at least 5% of the gap fee.
Enabling the GAP Discount option
If you would like to provide GAP Fee Discounts for your Staff, this will need to be enabled for your Service.
- Select the Settings screen from the left-hand menu bar.
- Select the Booking Configuration icon.

- Select the Service name to enable the GAP Fee Discount for
- Select General
- Tick the option of Allow staff members to apply a GAP fee Discount for bookings
- Select Save

User Access
Any Users who have the permission of Rolls, Bookings & Attendance will have the ability to apply GAP Discounts
