Guardian vs Nominee Permissions


This article will assist you with understanding the different permissions and access for Guardians and Nominees in the program.


Overview


There are 2 permission or authorisation levels for Contact people on a Family - Guardians and Nominees


Guardians


  • Access to payment account and billing information
  • Access to Xap guardian portal - can view children personal data, booking information and centre communications.
  • Can manage family account through Xap guardian portal
  • Has access to Xap Smile app & Guardian portal
Note: Primary Guardian can restrict other Guardians from accessing this information, including only allowing access to particular children linked to the family.
  • Can manage nominee permissions


Nominees


  • NO access to data via Xap guardian portal
  • NO log-in details


May have jurisdiction to:

  • authorise the service to seek medical treatment from a registered medical practitioner hospital or ambulance service, including transportation of the child(ren) by an ambulance service
  • authorise the service to administer medication to the child(ren).
  • authorise the service to take the child(ren) outside the service on excursions or outings, with the service's educators.
  • be contacted in an emergency concerning the child(ren).
  • drop off/pick up the child(ren) to/from the service.
  • authorise my child to be transported by the service or on transportation arranged by the service
