How To Customise Learning Frameworks

By default, a learning framework is private, i.e., only visible to those who create them or modify them.

Public learning framework sets, on the other hand, are sets that are available to every educator who uses Xap. These are created by Xap for you based on its original framework guidelines. They can be edited by Xap users and saved to their private set.

This help document will demonstrate how to edit learning frameworks.

Step 1: Click on settings from the left-hand menu bar.

Step 2: Click on the activities icon.

Step 3: Click on learning framework.

Step 4: Select the framework that you would like to use or modify.

Step 5: Click on copy to private to modify the framework.

Step 6: Once the framework is copied, it will be available in private set section.

Step 7: Click on the three-dots that are on the right-hand side of the framework's name. Select edit to change the framework's name.

Step 8: In the edit panel, change the name of the framework and click on 'update learning framework'.

Step 9: Within the learning framework you create or select, you can:

  • Edit the group.
  • Create a sub-group.
  • Create an outcome.

You can create folders within any of your learning frameworks.

  1. Click on any of your private learning sets from the ‘private frameworks’ section.

  1. Next to the main folder, click the three-dots that are on the right-hand side of the group. From the drop-down box, select 'add group'.

  1. You can add an outcome as well. Click on the 'add outcome' option to add a new outcome.

Once you have finished making the changes, you can start using the framework.
