QLD Kindergarten Funding - Registering your QGrants API's

This article will assist you with adding your QGrant API voucher information into Xap, to allow you to forecast and acquit via software.

Kindy is 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and is free for all Queensland families.

All approved free kindergarten providers can claim for free kindy funding.

What is an API?

An API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of definitions and protocols to build and integrate application software.

By registering for the API, you will be able to lodge forecasts and acquittals via your Xap program. To allow you to complete this process you will require an Application Secret and an Application Key that are unique to your service.

Steps to take

1. Obtain your QGrant Voucher Number see: QGrants - How to find your Voucher number
2. Register your SAP API details via the Business Hub see: SAP API Business Hub see: QGrants Guide
3. Add your Kindergarten API Credentials into Xap

Locating your API Information in QGrants

To locate your API details:

1. Log into the QGrants portal

2. Select the Applications Tab

3. Locate your ECEC Kindy For All Long Day Care application number. The voucher number can be found in the column labelled Voucher No

4. Locate your Beneficiary Number
5. Kindy Funding Reference Number

Adding in your Credentials

To add in your API Kindergarten credentials:

1. Select the Settings screen from the left-hand menu
2. Select the Org/Pro/Centre Admin details icon

3.Select Centres from the top toolbar

4. Select the 3 Dot icon next to the Service
5. Select Setup Kindergarten Credentials

6. Add in the Application Secret
7. Add in the Application Key
8. Add in the Agreement Number - This is the External Reference Number provided by QGrants
9. Add in the Beneficiary Account Number
10. Select Save

Your Xap program is now ready to start the Forecasting and Acquittal process for QLD Kindy Funding.
