QLD Kindergarten funding - Setting up a blank Acquittal or Forecast for submitting to QGrants

This article will assist you with creating and submitting a blank Acquittal or Forecast for submitting with a QLD Kindergarten Funding Acquittal.

Overview

An Acquittal or Forecast needs to contain all programs that have been approved for operation by QGrants. This include programs that may not be running due to a lack of enrolments or qualified teacher. In this scenario, you will need to submit a blank program to QGrants.

Setup

  1. Setup your program as if it were in operation.
Setting up your program correctly to start with, means that if the program does operate at some stage during they year, i.e. you find a qualified Teacher or have enough enrolments to operate, then your program will be ready to go. The Creating a Kindy Program guide can assist you with this.

  1. Once the program is created, pause it permanently. You can un pause the program, by setting an end date when it starts operation.

  1. If you do not have a qualified teacher, set any user as the Teacher and mark the teacher as 'Working Towards' qualification. This flags to QGrants that this is not a funded program.
When a new teacher arrives, you can update the teacher details to the correct user and qualifications.

  1. Now that you have a blank program created, you can create your Forecast or Acquittal. As it is not in operation, no children would be added as there would be no bookings against the sessions and rooms linked to the program. If the Program is the only program you are offering, create a Forecast or Acquittal using the existing process. If the Program is one of several, then use the Add Program button to the existing Forecast or Acquittal.

The program will show as per the image below and will be submitted with no children and no days operating.

  1. Submit the Forecast or Acquittal as per the normal process.
