How To Refund A Bond Or Pay Off Fees Using A Bond Amount

This document will assist you to refund a bond payment. Bond Payments are usually refunded if a child has left care and the family does not have an outstanding fees on their account.

Step 1: Select Families from the left hand menu.

Step 2: Click on the families account you wish to view.

Step 3: Once in the families account, select payments & billing.

Step 4: Select the bond Tab

**Step 5: **Select the arrow drop down menu. Select the option you wish to perform.

**Option 1: Pay off fees **

From the drop down menu select "pay-off-fees"

Note: Pay-off-fees are used when the family has finished care, but still have an outstanding amount due on their account. In this case you have the option to use the bond amount to pay off any remaining balance.

Complete all required fields:

**Option 2 : Refund Bond **

From the drop down menu select "refund bond payment"

Note: When refunding the bond amount, you will be completing this outside of Xap as per your normal refund process.
