Multiple Child CCS Percentage
Multiple Child CCS Percentage
The Australian Government will be making changes that come into effect from 7th March 2022 for Families with multiple children in care, by increasing their CCSS Percentage.
We have made changes to the software to accommodate the multiple child CCS percentage rate for Families with more than 1 child in care.
Things to note:
• As this is a new change for CCSS this may take a full week for them to fully implement this change commencing from Monday 7th March 2022.
• If you charge in advance the GAP will be based on the CCS percentage that was appearing at that time.
• If you charge in advance any future charged attendances will be automatically updated for eligible children to apply the higher CCS% and any adjustments will be corrected in the next invoice
Direct Debit Payments
If you are charging in advance and your Families are paying by Direct Debit, you can manage their scheduled payments if they are higher than their new Multiple Child CCS % see: How to stop Direct Debits or Change the Scheduled Amount
What does this mean?
Services Australia will automatically determine the Families who meet the criteria to apply the higher CCS% rate to apply to Families GAP's.
Families may be eligible if they:
• Earn less than $354,305
• Have more than one child aged 5 or under in childcare.
