CCSS Messages & Notification Overview
There are processes in CCSS which will generate messages for Providers and Services. This Messages service provide a way of communication to the providers and services from DHS.
**There are two types of CCSS Messages. **
- Notifications
Processes within the CCS system may result in a notification being generated that is applicable for a provider or service.
Some examples:
- Application for ACCS ‘Child Wellbeing’ has been submitted
- ACCS Entitlement has been approved
- ACCS (Child Wellbeing) Entitlement has been cancelled
- Enrolment Deemed Cessation Warning
- Enrolment has ended
- Notifications to Providers to update their details
- Session report processing result is available
- Return fee reduction detail has been updated
- Payment advice is available
- Correspondence
The ‘Read Correspondence List’ operation will return a list of correspondence/letter/advice available for the child care provider or service. The operation will include a ‘link’ to the correspondence/letter/advice. Xap will perform a second request (Read Correspondence) to the CCS system to retrieve the correspondence/letter/advice. At this stage, all correspondence/letter/advice binary are in PDF format.
How to Query CCSS Messages & Notifications?
Step 1: Click the CCSS icon from the main navigation.

Step 2: Click on the Messages icon from the available CCSS interfaces.

Step 3: You will see the list of messages on the grid. Xap system automatically queries CCSS messages and Notifications on a regular interval. However, you have an option to query it manually as and when it requires.

Step 4: To query the Messages, click on Query CCSS button on the top right corner.

Step 5: Complete the details and click on Query CCSS to retrieve the messages.

Step 6: Once queried, all messages will be displayed on the grid. Click on the filter to filter the messages according to your need.

How to Read/View CCS Messages?
Step 1: Click the CCSS icon from the main navigation.

Step 2: Click on the Messages icon from the available CCSS interfaces.

Step 3: You will see the list of messages on the grid. Xap system automatically queries CCSS messages and Notifications on a regular interval. However, you have an option to query it manually as and when it requires.

**Step 4: ** To read the message, click on three dots on the right side of each record. Click on View.

**Step 5: ** Once you click on view, you will see the right-side panel with the message. You can click on the close button to close the panel.
