Overview

When submitting an IS case claim to CCSS for processing, you may receive the error of: The sum of additional Educator hours should be equal to hours claim.

The error will display as below:

Why the error occurs

When the IS case is being created, the amount of hours added per Educator does not equal the Total amount of hours that are being claimed.

In the below example:

No of hours claimed = 15hrs added
Educator Hours - Only 5 hours for the 2 days have been added = 10hrs

Correcting the error

To ensure the error doesn't re-occur you will need to:

Ensure the No. of Hours Claimed box matches the Number of hours/days Additional Educators are assigned for the week.
If you aren't wanting to claim all of the hours for the week if eg. No Additional Educator could be found, then drop the No. of Hours claimed to only be what is going to be claimed.
