Adding a Child onto an Existing Route


This article will assist you with adding a child onto an existing Bus Route.


Overview


Bus Routes can be configured to either have children:


  • Automatically assigned to the route according to the Session/Fee they are booked under.
Note: This includes Recurring Weekly & Fortnightly as well as Casual Days
  • OR The children can be manually added to the Route, depending on their need.

Adding a Casual Child to a Auto Route


If the Route is set to Auto add, the child can be added onto the Route by:


  1. Select the Global Add button
Note: This casual booking can also be added via the Bookings & Attendances screen, the Family Screen or via the Web Portal for Guardians or Smile APP. see How to Add a Casual Booking


  1. Select Add Booking.




  1. Select the Child
Note: If you are in Enterprise mode, you will need to select the Service name first.


  1. Select the Care Type
  2. Select the CCSS Arrangement type
  3. Select the type as Casual
  4. Select the Booking Date
  5. Select the Room
  6. Select the Session name
Note: This Session needs to be one of the Sessions linked to the Auto Add route
  1. Select Save



When producing the Bus Route for in this example the After School Care the child will automatically be added, for the selected date.



Depending on the setup of the Route, a Destination may need to be selected for the Casual bookings.


Assigning a Destination


  1. Select the child/ren using the select button to the left of their name
  2. Select Bulk Action
  3. Select Assign Destination




  1. Assign the Destination for the selecting child/ren
  2. Select Save




Adding a Child to a Manual Bus Route


  1. Select the Bookings & Attendances Screen
  2. Select the Bus List Screen
  3. Select the Buses Tab
  4. Select the Green + Add button




  1. Select the Route name
Note: If you are in Enterprise mode, you will need to select the Service name first.


  1. Select the name of the Child/ren
  2. Select the Date to add them to the Route
  3. Select Save



The added child/ren will then appear onto the selected Route and Bus List.
