Assigning a Child to a Preschool Sessionn

Preschool aged child/ren who attend a preschool program at a centre‑based day care service may be entitled to 36 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. This only applies to the preschool aged child/ren in the family.

In order to claim this entitlement, two actions need to take place:

Families need to make sure that the details about their child's attendance at a centre-based care service are correctly updated in MyGov.

Early learning services need to make sure they have correctly indicated that the child is attending a preschool program in the session reporting process.

Flagging Preschool Sessions

To flag attendances as preschool sessions, follow the instructions below.

In Xap, Preschool sessions are applied when completing the child's bookings. in this help document, we will take you through how to complete action 2, to ensure the session reports are being submitted correctly to CCSS.

Step 1: Select families.

Step 2: Select the family name of the account you wish to update.

Step 3: Select bookings.

Step 4: Select the green + button.

Step 5: Once you have completed the booking details, ensure you have also selected preschool session.

Step 6: Once complete, select save.
