Connect App Kiosk - Session Display Behaviour

When a child is signed into the kiosk and the session they are booked into has already started, then it will appear as expected and the child can be signed into the service. When no session is currently active and no session starts within the next 1hr, the behaviour will be to show the next session starting that day that the child is booked into.

Some Examples:

  1. Child is dropped off for BSC at 5:45am. BSC session starts at 7am. System should show the next session, which is the BSC session starting at 7am.
  2. Child is dropped off for ASC at 1:45pm. ASC session starts at 3pm. System should show the next session, which is the ASC session starting at 1:45pm.
  3. Child is dropped off for LDC at 6am. LDC session the child is booked into starts at 7:30am. System should show the next session, which is the LDC session starting at 7:30am.
  4. Where there are multiple bookings for a child on a day, if the child has signed into one session and not signed out, then show the old session as well as the new session, so that the child can be signed out.
  • Child was signed into BSC at 7:30am
  • BSC ended at 9am but child was not signed out
  • Current time is 1:45pm
  • ASC starts at 3pm.

In this scenario the Kiosk will show the BSC and ASC sessions, so the child can be signed out of BSC and into ASC.

  1. Child is dropped off for BSC at 7:00am. But doesn't have a BSC booking. ASC session starts at 3pm. The System will show the next session, which is the ASC session starting at 3pm.
  • If the parent signs in to a session greater than 2 hours before the session start time, it will display the following warning message.

The session you are signing in to doesn't start until 3.00 pm (booking start time). Are you sure you want to proceed?
