Guardians & Carers - Understanding Notifications

This article will assist you with viewing the automated Notifications that you may receive as a Guardian or Carer via the Web Portal or Smile APP.

Overview

There are 2 types of Notifications that you will receive as a Guardian/Carer.

Manually sent Push Notifications - Messages sent by the Service
Automated Notifications - Messages sent when a Staff Member or Guardian makes changes to your Family information

Managing Notifications

If you would like to manage the notifications you are receiving.

Log into the WEB Portal for Guardians & Carers
Select the Notification Bell
Select the Settings icon

Select the Section to manage
Select YES or No

Note: Select YES if you would like to STOP viewing the notification, Select NO if you would like to VIEW the notification

Select Save

Who sees the Notifications?

Guardian 1 Automatically receives them and can control what the other Guardians can manage via the Web Portal.

All Guardians will receive the notifications, unless Guardian 1 has managed other Guardians access.
However Notifications are turned on/off per Guardian user.

If you would like manage eg. Guardian 2's access via the Web Portal and Smile APP.

Log into the WEB Portal for Guardians & Carers
Select the Families screen from the left hand menu

Select the 3 dot menu within the Payment Account(s) section
Select Edit from the drop down menu

Select if you would like to restrict below guardian(s) from accessing this payment account

Note: This will stop the selected Guardian(s) from editing the payment account details AND from receiving notifications regarding changes made by Guardian 1

Select if you would like to restrict the below guardian(s) from making bookings using this payment account

Note: This will stop the selected Guardian(s) from making booking changes/requests AND from receiving notifications regarding changes made by Guardian 1

Select Save
