Medications - Viewing Medications to be Administered


This article will assist you with viewing medications to be administered for Children at your Service.



Overview


The Medications & Incidents Screen allows you to:


  • Note Medications that have been administered to the Children
  • Record Guardian Authorisation signatures
  • Send Notifications of administered medications to Guardians
  • View Prior Medication forms
  • Create Injury Incident/Traumas & Illness Records
  • Record, Guardian, Staff & Witness signatures


Viewing Medications to be Administered


To record and advise a Guardian that medication has been administered.


  1. Select the Medication & Incident Screen



  1. Select the Medications Tab
  2. **Search **- Allows you to search on children's names
  3. Centres - If you are in Enterprise (multi-centre) view you can select the Centre/s to view the information for
  4. Medication From - Will automatically default to today's date, allows you to search on medications for particular dates
  5. Filter allows further filter options to be applied.



  1. Date - Date Medication is to be administered
  2. Child- Name of the child who requires Medication
  3. Medication - Name of Medication to be administered
  4. Due Time - Time Medication is to be administered
  5. Repeat - Displays if Medication is to be repeated
  6. Prescription - Will display if medication is prescribed or non-prescribed
  7. Acknowledgement- Will display if Guardian has acknowledged the medication
  8. Action/Status - Will display the current Administration Status for Staff
  • X has not been marked as adminstered
  • Acknowledged - has been acknowledged by Guardian
  • Pending - Pending Guardian acknowledging medication
  • Administered - Medication has been administered by Staff
  1. Notes - will display any notes added regarding the medication



Filtering Medications


To refine the Medication screen information.


  1. Select the Filter icon




  1. Search - Allows you to search on children's names
  2. Centres - If you are in Enterprise (multi-centre) view you can select the Centre/s to view the information for
  3. Child(s) - Select the Child or Children to view medication details for
  4. Medication From - Allows you to search on medications from ar particular date
  5. Medication To Allows you to search on medications up to a particular date.
  6. Status - Allows you to search on Medication Statuses.
  • Pending - Pending Guardian acknowledging medication
  • Administered - Medication has been administered by Staff
  • Not Administered - Medication Not administered by Staff
  • Deleted - Deleted medications


  1. Mode - Mode of Medication
  • Inhalation (breathed in through mouth or nose) eg Asthma Puffer
  • Injection (Injected into Vein)
  • Nasal (given into the nose by Spray or Pump)
  • Opthalmic (given into the eye by drops, gel or ointment)


  1. Acknowledge Status
  • Pending Acknowledgement - Pending Guardian acknowledging medication
  • Acknowledged - Guardian has acknowledged the medication
  • Rejected - Medication request has been rejected by Guardian
  1. Show only prescribed medication - Allows you to filter and display only prescribed medications
  2. Show only medications with repeats - Allows you to filter on only repeating medications
  3. Update Search to apply the selected filters
