Smile App - Viewing & Managing Notifications

The Xap Smile app for Guardians will allow you to view notifications from your childcare service.

Some of these notifications you may receive include:

• Your child was signed in/out/absent by a staff member or nominee
• You have expiring medical documents that need to be updated
• Change of bookings has been added
• Approved or rejected casual/recurring booking patterns
• Secondary Guardian or staff have updated details of your family
• Activities have been published for your child
• Medication has been logged or administered for your child, to allow you to authorise

Once a notification has been sent through for your Child, you will receive this to your device that has the Smile App installed.

Viewing the Notification

1. Log into the Smile app
2. The Bell will display any notifications

3. Click the Bell and all Notifications will be displayed, to allow you to view further information.

Managing Notifications, you receive

If you would like to receive less notifications, you can manage this via the Guardian portal or via the Xap Smile app

1. Select the Notifications bell
2. Select the Settings cog icon

3. Leave On selected (which will be the default) to receive the notification, select Off to no longer receive this notification type.
4. Select Save
