Medications - Service Recording an Administered Medication


This article will assist you with recording medications have been administered for Children at your Service.



Overview


The Medications & Incidents Screen allows you to:


  • Note Medications that have been administered to the Children
  • Record Guardian Authorisation signatures
  • Send Notifications of administered medications to Guardians
  • View Prior Medication forms
  • Create Injury Incident/Traumas & Illness Records
  • Record, Guardian, Staff & Witness signatures


Recording a Medication to be Administered


To record and advise a Guardian that medication has been administered.


  1. Select the Medication & Incident Screen



  1. Select the Medication Tab

3 Select the **X **under Action/Status


Note: If the Action/Status is still Pending, this means the Guardian haven't authorised the Medication so the Service is unable to administer.


  1. Administer: Select Administer if medication was administered
  2. Administered Time: Select the time the medication was adminstered.
  3. Administered by: - Select the Staff members name who administered the medication and they can sign underneath.
  4. Witness: Select the name of the Staff member who witnessed the medication being administered and they can sign underneath.



  1. Add in a note if required
  2. Tick if you would like to send a notificationto the Guardian
  3. Select Save



The Action/Status will be updated to display as Administered.
