Connect App - Managing Notifications
This article will assist you with viewing and managing notifications for Children and Families at your Service via the Connect App.
Overview
The Connect App allows you to create view any Notifications that relate to Families and Children for your Service.
Notification Types
The Notification types you can view are:
Activity
- Viewing activities that have been posted to families that have been liked or commented on by staff or guardians.
Attendance
Viewing changes to children's bookings, for example:
- Cancellation of a permanent booking by guardian
- Casual days being requested or added by guardians
- Absences being marked by guardians via Guardian Portal or Smile App
Child
Viewing updated Child information, for example:
- Expiring Medications
- Updated documents
- Updated child details
- New child added to existing family
Guardian
Viewing updated or new guardian information by staff or guardian:
- Health and Wellbeing - viewing Medication/Incident report updates
- Rejected or acknowledged Medication/Incident reporting
- New Medication added by guardian
Nominee
Viewing updated or new nominee information by staff or guardian, for example:
- New nominee added
- Expired nominee documentation
- New nominee details
Observations
- Viewing observations that have been posted to families that have been liked or commented on by staff or guardians
Payment Account
Viewing changes to guardian Payment Account details by staff or guardians, for example:
- Expiring/Expired Credit Card details
- New Payment Account information
- Updated Direct Debit details
Waitlist
Viewing changes to a child's waitlist information made by staff or guardians
- New health details for the Child
- Offer accepted or rejected by guardian or staff
- Enrolment form completed
- Withdrawn waitlist application
- New waitlist application
Viewing Notifications
To view notifications via the Connect App:
- Log into the Connect App using your email address and password

- Select the Notification Bell icon

- The new and unread notifications will be displayed allowing you to read the notification

Marking a notification as read
- Select the message you would like to mark as Read

- The message will change to pale grey, indicating it has been read

Marking all as Read
- Select Mark all as read

- All Notifications will change to pale grey/read status.

Managing Notifications
This process will allow you to manage the Notifications that you will be able to view.
Note: This setting is to allow different notifications to be viewed per User.- Select the Settings icon

- Change the Notification Setting to your required preference
- NO - You will not receive this notification
- YES - You will receive this notification
- Select Save
