Connect App - Creating a Head Count
This article will assist you with the process of creating a Head Count using the Xap Connect App.
Overview
The Connect App allows you to create Head Counts and Activities as an Educator. These Head Counts will then be visible in the main XAP program for reporting purposes.
Creating a Head Count
To create the head count:
- Log into the Connect App using your email address and password

- From the Dashboard screen select the New Activity icon

- Select the option of Head Count

- Select the Circle option on the top left-hand side
- Select the names of the child/ren to be included on this head count
- Select Done on the top right-hand side

- You can view or adjust the names of the children included on the head count if required
- Complete any custom fields (if they have been created)
- Select if the head count will be only visible to staff (recommended)
- Select if you would like to make this a Group Post (recommended)

- Select Post

Viewing the Head Count via the Connect App
To view the Head Count that has been created:
- Select the View Activities icon at the bottom of the screen

- Select the Published option at the top of the screen.

- Filters can be used to refine the head counts including:
- Date
- Room
- Children
- Educator
- The published head count information will display including:
- Date
- Time
- Any custom fields that have been added
- Total number of children included in the head count

Viewing the children included on the selected head count
To view the children included in the head count:
- Select the coloured letters on the bottom left of the head count

- The included children will display
- Select the back arrow to exit the screen
